Vicar, St Thomas Garstang

Garstang is an attractive small market town south of Lancaster serving the rural communities of mid Lancashire. It was the first “Fairtrade town” in the country and St Thomas is located both physically and spiritually at the heart of the community.

St Thomas Garstang has a well maintained Church and a new parish hall which along with its excellent primary school gives it a tremendous springboard for mission and to fully live out being part of the diocesan vision of “Healthy churches transforming communities”

Role Responsibility

We are seeking a prayerful, pastoral, inspirational priest who will fully engage in leading the congregation in making disciples of Jesus Christ, in being witnesses to Jesus Christ and growing leaders for Jesus Christ.

They need to be someone who is caring, enthusiastic and has strong spiritual and leadership qualities relevant to all ages.

Who will lead spiritually by example and through teaching and preaching.

The Ideal Candidate

Has experience of leading worship in a range of styles, who will work with people both within the church and in partnership with other churches and the wider community to grow and develop the Church.
