We are looking for a friendly new Team Rector to lead a wonderful trio of churches in the South Wimbledon area of London. Based at Holy Trinity, SW19 you will also be ministering to two outstanding (SIAMS) church primary schools. You will be supported by a team of clergy which includes a Team Vicar who is responsible for Christ Church, Colliers Wood and St John the Divine, South Wimbledon, a Parish administrator and hands-on churchwardens, who will encourage and guide you in your new role.
For an informal conversation with the Archdeacon, please contact his PA, Romana Nelson - firstname.lastname@example.org - to arrange a time for a phone conversation.
Please note we have a policy in the Southwark Diocese that to be appointed to an incumbent status post, a priest must normally have served a stipendiary title in an Anglican church in the British Isles, or, following a Candidates Panel for ministers of other Churches and Priests from other Anglican Provinces, has met the Adviser’s recommendations for appointment to posts of incumbency status, set out in a report to the diocesan Bishop.
We are a team of three distinctive churches working together. Each of us has a Eucharist on Sunday morning and three times a year we join together to share our Sunday worship. Weekday Festivals and during Holy Week are other times when we come together in one of our buildings to worship together. Across the parish we have Junior Churches, Sunday evening worship, Celtic Service, Healing Services, informal and formal
worship and everything in between.
We would welcome someone who would continue to foster greater sharing between the congregations so that we are more effective in mission; someone who would value our committed volunteers and encourage greater lay participation and vocations, building on our current foundation and moving to encourage others to explore their own callings; someone with a heart for young people growing in faith.
As Team Rector your main responsibility will be for Holy Trinity & St Peter and as part of a team ministry you will lead and work with our core team. They work closely together, are committed to collegiate working to support one another and meet regularly for staff meetings and to say the daily office together.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the team on the next stage of its journey. We are looking for a Team Rector who is a spiritual leader, can communicate the Gospel message with passion and encourage people to grow in their faith.
We are diverse and inclusive, generally a friendly bunch with a sense of humour and we want to work together. The foundations of the team are well established and as we move on we are not complacent about our mission and have a desire to build our common life.
