The Diocese of Carlisle has been pro-active in seeking to respond to national trends in church life by the formation of around 40 Mission Communities across the county to respond to the challenges and opportunities we face. This context has served to focus attention on exploring and re-discovering other exciting and innovative models of church life, mission and ministry, lay and ordained, full and part time, as well as self-supporting. The Diocese of Carlisle is committed to the God for All vision (www.godforall.org.uk) and part of that vision is the creation of Mission Communities.

  • Who is warm, compassionate and approachable;
  • Who is a good communicator and is keen to become part of the fabric of the church and parish community;
  • Who will reach out to young people and families, especially in our church school, and be a leader in our community;

  • We have an active PCC and a thriving social committee;
  • We have a local lay minister: and
