We are also very active in our local community working alongside other agencies and running our own projects in order to express the love of God in a practical way.

The Children’s & Youth Worker will assist the Youth & Children’s Minister in developing the ministry of the church amongst children and young people.

  • Provide opportunities for children & young people to explore the Christian faith, encounter God and follow Christ together.
  • Playing a leading role in the planning, organization and running of Sunday Club alongside lay leaders, with clerical support.
  • Strengthen and develop links with schools and uniformed groups in the parish.
  • Enable greater participation by children & young people as equal partners in the life of the church.
  • Assist with planning and leading of all-age services.
  • Offer pastoral care to children/young people.
  • Work with a wide range of volunteers from across the Parish


Essential: Able to relate well to children / young people and adults.

Good communication and IT skills.

Able to work both independently and collaboratively.

Able to work on own initiative and manage time effectively.

Basic administration skills (including diary management, record keeping, and forward planning)

Good organizational skills.

Demonstratable skills in being able to recruit, encourage and communicate with volunteers.

Desirable: Musical or creative skills
