Across the three counties of Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire we have a common vision to become a more Christ-like Church: contemplative, compassionate and courageous for the sake of God’s World.
We are seeking a programme manager to help us realise one vital aspect of that vision: growing new churches and congregations. The successful candidate will develop and manage phase 1 of an ambitious five-year, £5 million investment programme.
S/he will lead a Strategic Development Fund (SDF) bid that is scheduled to be made to Church Commissioners in 2019. Reporting to the Archdeacon of Oxford the programme manager is the Executive Officer for the Committee overseeing this element of our strategy.
This is a senior leadership role within the Diocese and the successful applicant must be passionate and prayerful about enabling numerical and spiritual growth. There is a Genuine Occupational Requirement for the post holder to be a committed practising Christian in the Anglican tradition or another denomination of Churches Together in Britain and Ireland.
This post requires someone who is experienced in financial and programme management coupled with the ability to influence people at all levels. If that sounds like you and you’re looking to take a lead role in an exciting and complex environment, then we’re keen to hear from you!
Closing date for receipt of applications is 16th December 2018. Interviews will be held in Oxford on Thursday 10th January.
The Diocese of Oxford is committed to the promotion of equal opportunities for all.
