Forming Missional Leaders for the Future

c. £40,000 pa

This is a new, strategic role leading on ministry development at a time of ongoing change.

It encompasses lay and ordained ministry in parishes, schools, chaplaincies and fresh expressions. You will help to discern the training and development needs of those in ministry in this time of change, and lead on delivery.

Co-located in both our Ministry Team and Mission Team, the postholder will:

• Work with colleagues from across the diocese to determine opportunities and priorities;
• Develop and oversee a programme of ongoing ministerial training/development, to support our Diocesan Direction of Travel;
• Consult and seek feedback from those in ministry and leadership roles, in order to create relevant learning, training and development opportunities and to get commitment from the outset;
• Review, evaluate, and develop the programme year by year.

This is an exciting role in a central position for someone who enjoys working in partnership and is fired up by the need for missional outreach as part of ministry and leadership.
