This is a good place in which to live and minister. Our four parishes are within easy reach of Northampton and yet are set in beautiful Northamptonshire countryside. As a benefice, we are looking forward to welcoming a new Rector who has the vision, energy and enthusiasm to reach out with us into our communities and to lead us in a variety of worship – celebrating our distinctiveness while encouraging our unity.

We would like our new Rector to:

  • Be friendly and approachable – able to connect with people of all ages and backgrounds.
  • Have the skills and desire to develop further links with local schools and youth groups.
  • Support and encourage lay members to train for roles in ministry and leadership:
  • Be a confident spiritual leader with a sincere faith, upholding the teachings of Jesus through inspirational preaching, prayer and example.
  • Be innovative, while not losing sight of traditional values in worship and music.
  • Be a good listener and guide.
  • Provide pastoral care, visiting the sick and housebound and celebrating home communions.
  • Possess good communication and IT skills – or be willing to learn.
  • Be happy to work with a supportive and enthusiastic team and be willing to delegate.
  • Have a good sense of humour.

We are keen to grow our churches and to be a welcoming presence in our villages. We look forward to working alongside our new Rector as we begin a new chapter in the life of this benefice.

If you are at all interested, we would love to hear from you.
