The Parish of Dunston with Coppenhall (part of the Penkridge Team, near Stafford)
2 days per week plus Sundays
We are two small village churches with a strong presence in our local communities; congregations with an open and inclusive attitude to worship; committed to working with the team.
We are looking for someone who will:
lead our churches to become what God wants us to be;
lead worship that supports our vision and the ministry needs of the churches;
enthuse, teach and challenge us with God’s word so that we grow in faith and fellowship;
be approachable and a good shepherd with a positive visible presence in the villages and school;
inspire, motivate and empower everyone to make good use of their God-given gifts and talents.
We can offer a pleasant rural parish in a beautiful area of the country with excellent transport links; friendly, good humoured and supportive congregations; a supportive Team Ministry and an efficient PCC; prayer support; respect for days off and holiday entitlement; full reimbursement of expenses.
About the Diocese
Lichfield Diocese is one of the most diverse dioceses in the country. Rolling countryside and vibrant inner-city life nestle together in a region that takes in Staffordshire, the Potteries of Stoke-on-Trent, most of Shropshire and bustling Black Country centres including Walsall and Wolverhampton. The only thing we don’t have is the sea!
Our shared diocesan vision extends an invitation to all to “Come follow Christ in the footsteps of St Chad”.
As we follow Christ in the footsteps of St Chad, we pray that the two million people in our diocese encounter a church that is confident in the gospel, knows and loves its communities, and is excited to find God at work already in the world. We pray for a church that reflects the richness and variety of those communities and partners with others in seeking the common good, working for justice as a people of hope.
