This job has now expired

We are the Benefice of Broughton with Bossington and Houghton and Mottisfont and The Test Valley Benefice; Rector Designate for the proposed Mid-Test Benefice.

Mid Test will comprise of 6 parishes in the Romsey deanery. Located equally between Winchester and Salisbury to the east and west and Andover and Romsey to the north and south. We strive to work together for the care of everyone in our villages, but with an emphasis on families and those who are elderly, lonely or whose health is weakening.

Collaboration and co-operation are important to us, making the most of our shared resources for the common good.

We offer our wholehearted commitment to reaching our communities and a willingness to change and experiment with new ways of worship, learning and mission. A positive team, committed to restructuring life and administration to liberate your gifts and ours. Well cared for churches in an outstandingly beautiful but accessible environment and a well-located 4 bedroomed detached rectory.

Our diocese is using resources from the Church Commissioners Strategic Development Fund to support a renewed exploration of Christian life and mission in rural areas. Whilst these resources are focused on three pilot benefices, we are expecting significant learning to emerge from this work that will support us and our new Rector as we develop and implement plans for the future.

The Diocese of Winchester is an exciting place to be right now. With a grant of £4.3m from the Strategic Development Fund, we are investing in missional projects across the diocese which are aimed at strategic growth for the common good. We pray that, if God is calling you to join us in his mission here, he will reveal this to you clearly as you consider this post.
