Two busy, varied and important roles are available to support the Diocesan Bishop, who leads one of the largest dioceses in the Church of England.
The roles will be ideal for highly organised, flexible, and experienced PAs used to working under pressure, with strong IT skills. Each role has a different emphasis. Post 1 has a more traditional PA emphasis, with a range of duties from complex diary management, preparation of briefing and travel packs, organisation of meetings, functions and events. Post 2 supports the organisational and legal procedures that underpin the deployment, recruitment and licencing of clergy and licenced lay staff. Both positions require tact, diplomacy and sensitivity and a high commitment to confidentiality along with excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Founded in 1905, the Diocese of Southwark forms part of the Province of Canterbury in England and is part of the wider Church of England, in turn part of the worldwide Anglican Communion. the Diocese covers primarily the area of Greater London which is South of the Thames, together with the eastern part of the country of Surrey. It is one of the largest dioceses in terms of population and parishes and well as one of the most diverse.
