Are you passionate about the environment and seeking an opportunity to make a real impact? The Diocese of Truro is looking for a Schools Creation Care Officer to join our team. This role will support Church of England schools across our diocese in their efforts to "Cut Carbon, Cherish Creation, and Speak up." By engaging with schools, supporting them to achieve Eco Schools awards and promoting eco-friendly practices, you will play a vital role in our mission to achieve net zero by 2030.
You will work with all 44 of our Church of England schools across the diocese, providing advice, encouragement and practical support to school staff, governors and MAT trustees.
The right person for this role will have experience of working in primary schools and delivery of environment related activities. They will be a great communicator, highly organised and with ideas about how to support busy schools to take action for climate justice.
You do not need to be a practising Christian; but a willingness to talk about and support the creation and dissemination of environmental Christian resources for schools is essential. An enhanced DBS check is essential.
