£18,000

The Diocese of Lincoln is seeking to appoint a part-time (0.5 FTE) colleague to serve as IME 2 officer.

Background

The College of St Hugh is a department of the Diocese of Lincoln that is made up of the Diocesan Ministry and Mission Teams, and the Lincoln School of Theology (LST). The newly created College aims to establish a vision for lifelong learning at the heart of all that the Diocese does to support Christian Mission, Ministry and Discipleship across Greater Lincolnshire.

The Diocese of Lincoln currently has 24 curates, although typically in recent history this has been about 30. Of these, currently 7 are self supporting and 16 are stipendiary. One is a Distinctive Deacon. IME 2 in the Diocese of Lincoln has, for a number of years, operated on a unique ‘training triplicate’ system, in which each curate has two people working with them in addition to their Training Incumbent, who offer support, space for theological reflection and for focus on their learning needs. You can find more about curacy in the Diocese of Lincoln in the latest Curates’ Handbook, which is available on our website here:
