Sought – due to the retirement of the previous postholder:

A “House for Duty Priest” (Sunday plus 2 days) to serve in a well-established benefice team: post based at St Mary The Virgin, Colton, in the delightful rural Staffordshire Benefice of Abbots Bromley, Blithfield, Colton, Colwich and Great Haywood.

Realistic HfD role with a long pedigree that is well understood in the parishes.

A focus on pastoral mission to the whole community of Colton while sharing in supporting the benefice mission, especially our mid-week ministry to local primary schools.

Collaborative benefice team, whose roots vary from open evangelical, liberal and liturgical traditions, all of one heart committed in serving Christ and making his grace known.

Space and time for you to do your own thing. Staffordshire has everything going, except the sea! Easy access to the rest of the UK and beyond: Birmingham 50 minutes, London under 2hrs from the parish railway station.

Modern 4 bed rectory in a quiet location with a garden and off road parking; expenses, HfD fees and a friendly, supportive deanery and diocese.
