PRIEST IN CHARGE OF THE BENEFICE OF BROUGHTON AND DUDDON AND THE BENEFICE OF KIRKBY IRELETH AND ASSOCIATE PRIEST OF THE PARISH OF THWAITES

This is a full-time interim post for 3 years in the first instance

We are looking to appoint a leader who will:

  • Promote the worship and mission of the church throughout the communities and help people grow in faith and the knowledge and love of Jesus Christ
  • Encourage both existing and new congregations in their Mission and Ministry;
  • Be an encourager who teaches from Scripture, and whose loving leadership is founded on a deep commitment to personal and communal spiritual growth;
  • Be committed to nurturing our work with young people and children, helping us encourage them to participate in the worship and life of the Church;
  • Be willing and able to work with and guide lay ministry and leadership in the development of our vision and strategy for the present and the future;
  • Be approachable and friendly, able to get on with all sorts of people within the Church and our wider communities, committed to listening, to making people feel accepted and understood, and prepared to take an active interest out and about in the life of the whole community;
  • Work constructively with colleagues both lay and ordained across the ecumenical Mission Community
