The Patrons – the Vicar of St Mary Magdalen’s Bermondsey, the Bishop of Southwark and CPAS – are seeking a Vicar for the Parish of Bermondsey, St James & St Anne (United Benefice).

The friendly diverse congregations of both churches reflect a wide social and ethnic mix, welcoming people of all ages. They enjoy relaxed informal Sunday worship in the evangelical tradition and serving their communities through a range of activities.

The parish is looking for a vicar whose relationship with Jesus nourishes their leadership, teaching, and pastoral care for the congregations as they serve them:

• Encouraging spiritual growth as committed disciples
• Increasing involvement in every member ministry
• Building on the excellent relationship with St James CofE Primary School
• Engaging with other organisations within the community
• Enabling more work with young families and reaching out to teenagers
• Developing mission through prayer, effective communication and coming to know the people of the parish.
