We are looking for an Associate Minister for Youth, Families & children to oversee and develop our ministry for the 0-25 year olds. The person will lead, co-ordinate, train and release a team of staff and volunteers, encourage volunteer engagement and lead families in discipleship.

Emmanuel Croydon is a thriving evangelical church of around 350 adults and 80 children and young people. Our vision is to be a place of unconditional welcome, Christ-centred revival and deep discipleship for this generation and the next in South Croydon and beyond.

The tradition of strong children’s and youth work draws in large numbers each week and attracts many families to us who might not otherwise come. Events such as our Mayhem holiday club, creative Christmas services and Messy Mondays attract significant numbers from the local community. We are blessed with a large, gifted and committed group of volunteers who lead, shape our youth and children’s ministry.

We are looking for someone to oversee and develop Emmanuel's ministry for the 0 to 25 year olds. The person will as necessary grow, lead, co-ordinate, train and release a team of staff and volunteers, encourage volunteer engagement, and support families in discipleship. They will also work directly with children and young people teaching them in a relevant and engaging way and developing ways to connect with others in the community. This is a senior role for our church and our focus for recruitment is on finding a candidate with the necessary gifts of leadership to carry forward a large ministry with great potential. We recognize applicants may have a variety of experiences, some more with youth, some with children. We will consider applications from those who have experience of either or both.

We welcome both ordained and experienced lay applicants, particularly those of UKME background who are currently underrepresented in our team. All appointments will be made on merit of skill and experience relative to the role.
