The Mount is a new church plant in and for St Helens which through the radical and transformational love of Jesus, seeks to be radically loving of its community. Having planted into Holy Trinity Church Parr Mount 14 months ago, a church with an incredible history of renewal within the charismatic- evangelical tradition, The Mount has seen exciting growth. As part of the Transform Northwest project, The Mount is a resource church focused on engaging the missing generation in a large north-west post industrial town.

As Christians who have been radically loved, we want to live radically shaped by Jesus. We want to join in with all that God is doing in Parr and St Helen’s, looking for ways that we can connect with the lost and make a real difference. We hope that the new Operations Manager will play a key role in helping drive the vision and strategy of the church, but ultimately work towards the church being a sustainable project where all people can belong, explore some of the big questions about life and be shaped as followers of Jesus.

Alongside a creative, driven and welcoming staff team, there are opportunities for us to plant more gathering across the town, work with other churches across St Helens as part of Fit For Mission (a Liverpool Diocese initiative) and develop the work of The Mount Garden locally (an outdoor cafe/events space).

There is a wide array of roles we are looking for an Operations Manager to be involved in:
• Managing of policies and procedures
• Seeking and writing funding bids for the ongoing work and new opportunities at The Mount
• Oversee a treasurer who will manage day to day finances and produce regular financial reports
• Manage/Oversee the payroll through chosen provider
• Oversee safer recruitment and all other aspects relating to HR
• Oversee volunteers, vergers, wardens and staff involved in operations
• Manage all Operations Budgets and Forecasts
• Work with the Diocese and SDF to capture and report data for the Transform Board & complete claim forms for quarterly finding by deadlines required
• Help provide information requested by the Diocese about the church
• Support the Church Leader in day to day operations, including the smooth running of events
• Work closely with Church Leader to ensure efficiency and careful management of the project
• Oversee key service contracts, e.g. cleaning,
post, telephone etc - Oversee ad-hoc building works
• Oversee all building and appliance repairs and updates
• Oversee all insurance contracts
• Ensure The Mount is fully compliant with Diocesan and Parish Safeguarding Procedures
• Manage all aspects of Health and Safety
• Manage all aspects of Fire Safety
• Oversee office management, IT and telephones
• Oversee provision of furniture and hardware to site
• Work with the Church Leader on faculty applications
• Oversee church storage
• Oversee kitchen hygiene
• Support Church Leader in HR related issues
• Oversee church room hire

We are seeking to appoint an experienced, dynamic, organised and faithful leader with pastoral gifting, who is able to do detail well and can work effectively within a team. The Operations Manager should be a gifted leader, have experience of fundraising, understand and have worked within the church before, and have a willingness and enthusiasm about the opportunity to play a key role in important aspects of the church & how it is run.

The Mount is a growing community centred church in Parr, St Helens, that is part of the Transform North West network, which exists to reveal a real, relevant & relatable God.
