The Bishop of Southwark wishes to appoint a Vicar of Blackheath Park St Michael and All Angels.

We are seeking a person of grace and passion who will enable the church to build on recent growth in depth and breadth, numbers and finance; a committed and compassionate priest with Jesus as their inspiration, who can nurture individuals in their own ministry and outreach.

We give thanks to God for the many ways He has blessed St Michael’s:

• An involved parish church with consistent evangelical witness for 192 years
• A large and diverse church family of around 180 adults and 50 children
• Extensive engagement in ministry
• Wide church and community interaction
• Recently refurbished church building and sound finances
• A united congregation looking forward to the future together

We are looking for a vicar who:

• Has evangelical convictions and will be the primary preacher and teacher
• Is a humble and willing shepherd
• Understands ministry in a parish church setting
• Is able to reach out and evangelise to those beyond the congregation
• Will keep us united in Christ through a rapidly changing society
• Has good leadership and management skills
