The Diocese is entering into a time of refreshing its vision of Growing Disciples, Wider, Younger Deeper. Could you lead the implementation of the financial strategy for the Diocese, and for our diverse Parishes to support the delivery of this Vision?

We are looking for someone who has substantial experience of managing a Financial Operations Team and understands the processes of budgeting, income collection and investment management. In addition, you will work with Diocesan leaders and parishes to identify how to maximise and utilise their financial resources to achieve their priorities.

You will oversee the Property portfolio, ensuring effective use of resources in the maintenance and capital investments of patronage property and other assets.

You will also devise a strategy for supporting parishes in developing their giving plans ensuring that they are able to encourage their congregations in regular giving.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable with providing strategic advice to a range of stakeholders and who can run effective financial operations.

You will be a member of the Diocesan Board of Finance’s Senior Leadership Team, contributing to the wider management of the Diocese’s operations, demonstrating collegiate and collaborative working style.

You will have a relevant professional qualification along with knowledge of the Companies and Charity Acts, managing trust funds, tax, Gift Aid and VAT

There is a genuine occupational requirement for the post holder to be a communicant member of the Church of England or a member of the Churches Together in Britain & Ireland, or the Evangelical Alliance.
