A thriving village church with a children’s worker and a church school,
in the supportive environment of a team ministry.

St John the Baptist church is set in the beautiful village of Little Marlow and is part of the 4U team of churches. Church life consists of a blend of traditional and informal worship and a warm, friendly and committed congregation who are outward-looking and very involved in village life. The church is committed to growing its links with the village C of E Infant school and to building on its Eco Church Silver Award. A part-time children’s worker visits the church school every week.

This 0.5 stipend Team Vicar role (with vicarage), is part of the 4U team, consisting of a Team Rector and 3 other Team Vicars plus two training curates. The supportive clergy team meets together weekly.

Who are we looking for?

A Team Vicar who

• loves Jesus and lives a life of prayer
• can help us see God’s vision for the church and follow God’s leading for our future
• enjoys teamwork and would like to work as a team member within the wider 4U team

What would you do?

We would like you to:

• be at home with both traditional and contemporary services and develop our newly introduced monthly informal service
• grow our relationship with the school and with local families
• lead our pastoral work and also develop a profile within the village as we seek to expand our community role
