Associate Minister (HfD) Bispham All Hallows

All Hallows Bisham, Blackpool
Office Holder

We are looking for a part-time Associate Minister (in a House for Duty capacity) to join the team at All Hallows’. We are a church family that exists to make Jesus known in Bispham and beyond, to all ages and all backgrounds, by the people of God living and sharing the word of God, for the glory of God. We are situated in a sub-urban parish to the north of Blackpool with a mix of relative wealth and deprivation. On a typical Sunday we are 83 adults and 12 children and have several well-established mid-week activities.

We enjoy a legacy of many decades of faithful Bible teaching ministry and a deep-rooted presence in the community, on which we are seeking to build for the future as we reach out with the gospel of the Lord Jesus. We are thankful for the encouragement of a supportive deanery and diocese as we do this.

We are committed to the discipleship and flourishing of all, both women and men, in an equal but complementary way, and our PCC has passed a resolution under the House of Bishops’ Declaration in support of this. Within this framework, alongside our Rector, our ministry team includes male and female Licensed Lay Ministers.

We are seeking an ordained man who:

  • loves Jesus, his people, and the lost and seeks to live a godly life
  • can work collaboratively towards our vision, so that along with the Rector and rest of the team, will help mobilise and equip us to:
    • reach more families and young people
    • engage more with our community
    • grow in prayer and
    • nurture new leaders
  • faithfully preaches the Scriptures, applying it into the lives of people of different ages and stages and is able to lead both BCP and contemporary services
  • will support our pastoral care and share in conducting occasional offices

There is flexibility for the role to be more specifically defined around the right candidate in accordance with their gifts and experience. This is initially a 2-year appointment with the scope for extension beyond that. Tied housing provided including council tax and water rates. Annual leave is 6 weeks per year (pro rata) including 6 Sundays. The appointment is subject to satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS check in line with our safer recruitment policy.
