We are looking for an Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Manager to join our busy office. The ideal candidate will ensure that the Diocese’s ICT is reliable and well supported and that it effectively supports staff in delivering the Diocese’s operational objectives. You will also need to be able to plan for and manage future developments of the Diocese’s ICT systems.

  • Provide day to day technical support and advice to end users and manage and maintain all user hardware and equipment.
  • Actively engage with diocesan departments to ensure that technology is provided and used across diocesan teams to support effective, efficient, and smarter working practices to deliver strategic objectives.
  • Effectively communicate with all diocesan staff and users as required including identifying skills gaps delivering of training as necessary.
  • Keep up to date with trends in emerging technologies and developments, in order to find best-value solutions whilst meeting the changing needs of the work environment.
  • Manage annual IT budget ensuring value for money is achieved, including all hardware and software procurement.

Skills and experience include:

  • Previous experience of managing all aspects of an organisation’s ICT systems
  • Previous project management experience during systems and infrastructure transitions, including budget management
  • Detailed working knowledge of ICT systems, emerging technologies, statutory requirements and best practice
  • Ability to remain focused and manage inevitable ambiguities and setbacks during implementation of ICT plans
