At St. Margaret’s we are a welcoming church where people support each other. All members are encouraged to reach out to the community through prayer, visible witness and practical involvement. Our aim is that through this, God will be brought to his people and his people will be brought to God

Thank you for your interest in this post, as together we seek to discern who God may be calling to serve as Rector of the Lowestoft St Margaret benefice. These notes are intended to supplement the information given in the Benefice Profile, adding a slightly wider perspective and with some further information.

We are looking for someone who will:-

  • Be a committed, collaborative team player valuing the contribution of others
  • Connect with and encourage young people, particularly relishing the opportunities of engagement with the schools in the parish
  • Be a compassionate priest able to engage with all ages
  • Help us share God’s love in the community
  • Have a flexible approach to worship within our broadly liberal catholic tradition
  • Have enthusiasm, a sense of humour and be a sensitive communicator  Maintain and treasure our musical tradition

The closing date for applications is Tuesday 27th September, with interviews to be held on Wednesday 12th October.
