Formed in 2020, the North Potteries Team Ministry is nestled on the northern edge of Stoke-on-Trent and looks for its first Team Vicar.

Under the care of the Society we're flourishing in the Church of England's catholic tradition. Centred on the Eucharist and the Daily Office we're consciously multidirectional, focussing:

  • First and foremost on God
  • On outward service to our community in love and service
  • On one another in inward fellowship and prayer

Anglo-Catholic parish seeks joyful Team Vicar!

Are you:

  • As enthusiastic for mission as you are for ceremonial?
  • As passionate for service as you are about study?
  • As keen to witness to Jesus as to carefully teach doctrine?

If you are, you could be the priest for us!

Our Team Vicar will work alongside the Team Rector, Curate, the PCC, DCCs and lay officers.

Our hope is that God is calling to us someone who has a heart for mission and an eagerness to be a pastor.

Personal specifications can be so broad they sound like the parish wouldn’t settle for Jesus as their priest; at the heart of our person specification is the desire to find a priest who is real, a priest who is as in tune with himself as with God. A person who is aware of his limits but who can recognize and empower the gifts of others. We aren’t perfect and we don’t expect you to be either, but we pray you will want to walk in the Way with us.

About the Diocese

Lichfield Diocese is one of the most diverse dioceses in the country. Rolling countryside and vibrant inner-city life nestle together in a region that takes in Staffordshire, the Potteries of Stoke-on-Trent, most of Shropshire and bustling Black Country centres including Walsall and Wolverhampton. The only thing we don’t have is the sea!

Our shared diocesan vision extends an invitation to all to “Come follow Christ in the footsteps of St Chad”.

As we follow Christ in the footsteps of St Chad, we pray that the two million people in our diocese encounter a church that is confident in the gospel, knows and loves its communities, and is excited to find God at work already in the world. We pray for a church that reflects the richness and variety of those communities and partners with others in seeking the common good, working for justice as a people of hope.
