Do you have a heart for communicating the Gospel digitally?

If so, we have an exciting opportunity to help tell the story of God at work in His people across Lancashire.

The Diocese of Blackburn wants to appoint a Digital Resources and Social Media Assistant to support the delivering of creative content across a variety of platforms.

As part of the role, you will help us to connect with people and partner organisations across multiple communities within our Diocese.

The successful candidate will be expected to develop creative content and create ways to engage digitally across the diocese with children and young people; those who work with children and young people; church leaders; church members; schools and people from outside the church.

This is rare chance for someone to join our fantastic team at the Diocesan Offices in the fulfilment of our Vision 2026 Healthy Churches Transforming Communities.

Blackburn Diocese is approaching its 100th anniversary having been founded on the 12 December 1926 and serves almost the whole of the county of Lancashire with a population of 1.3 million.

It is divided into 14 Deaneries and two Archdeaconries (Blackburn and Lancaster). The Diocese covers an area of extraordinary variety, from the stunning countryside of the Trough of Bowland to the former mill towns of East Lancashire, from the University cities of Preston and Lancaster to the seaside towns of Blackpool and Morecambe.

The Board of Education offers excellent terms and conditions which include;

Annual Leave Allowance 25 days + bank holidays (plus 1 day per year for length of service up to a maximum of 5 additional days)
