We are looking for someone to support the Head of Comms and the wider Cathedral team in sharing information and news, together with telling the story of the cathedral.

  • Help to develop and create engaging content for digital marketing channels, including the website, social media platforms, affiliate sites and email campaigns
  • Assist in the development and creation of traditional marketing collateral including brochures, flyers, posters and adverts
  • Be responsible for updating and developing the cathedral website
  • Monitor relevant online reviews and respond where necessary
  • Work with the facilities team to ensure a professional standard of live broadcasting is made from the cathedral when required
  • Liaise with colleagues regarding print requirements
  • Monitor and update comms diary and respond to email
  • Draft copy for various outputs
  • Assist in the delivery and arrangements for PR opportunities
  • Contribute to collating and maintaining a high quality image library for use on cathedral comms
  • Support in the production and distribution of internal communications
  • Support departments in identifying their comms needs
  • Support / deputise for the head of comms where necessary or appropriate

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential:

  • Ability to write engaging copy
  • Experience of updating social media and websites
  • Organised
  • In sympathy with the ethos of the Church of England and comfortable engaging with a worshipping community.

Desirable:

  • Experience of working with Adobe creative Cloud applications
  • Experience of working with local press, journalists and/or press officers

SALARY: £13,337 Actual (£19.739 FTE)

PENSION: Subject to meeting the relevant criteria you will be enrolled in the Cathedral’s Pension Scheme with 8% employer contributions.

HOURS: 25 hours per week

HOLIDAYS: 28 days (pro rata) plus bank holidays
