The vision of the Diocese of Chichester is to help people within the Diocese to know, love and follow Jesus. Based at the Diocesan Office at Church House, Hove, we serve the people of the Diocese across more than 360 parishes, more than 150 church schools and the wider community as a whole.

We wish to appoint a Digital Media Coordinator to join our small Communications Team. This is an exciting opportunity to raise the profile of the Diocese of Chichester through digital media channels, produce and co-ordinate content and to support the planning and delivery of the diocesan communication plan.

The role is key to delivering our strategic aims and you will be working with a broad range of people including senior members of the Clergy, parishes, and the Church House team. Your duties will include:

• Leading on all matters relating to digital communications – ncluding co-ordinating digital media campaigns,producing and editing videos and acting as an expert adviser to parishes
• Being responsible for raising the profile of the diocese on all social media platforms and maintenance of the diocesan social media channels; including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter
• Monitoring data and collating reports into the effectiveness of digital media campaigns
• Supporting the Communications Officer
• Providing an information service to enquirers

We are seeking a candidate who can demonstrate the following qualifications, experience and skills:

• A graduate in a communications-based subject such as digital media.Or previous experience in a similar communications related role (paid or voluntary role).
• Understanding of social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter
• Competence in creating and editing digital video content and website editing
• Excellent IT skills, including practical experience of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Can work in a team and stay calm under pressure

The post holder is required to support the ethos, aims and objectives of the Diocese and the Church of England.
