Interim Minister (0.5) of Heath Hayes

This job has now expired
St John the Evangelist, Health Hayes
Office Holder

St John's Heath Hayes parish church is part of the deanery of Rugeley, which stretches from South of the A5/M6 toll road up to the North of Cannock Chase.

We are looking for a new Minister to join our small, dynamic, and friendly team. This is a 0.5 interim CT post for 3 years, with the possibility of extending for 3 years.

We are praying for a minister to help us on our journey and seek to discern God’s calling in Heath Hayes and our community, who:

• Enables and encourages, delighting in nurturing the gifts of others across the generations and helping them grow to serve Christ.
• Is at ease with leading, and working with, our church ministry team and congregation to Transform our Church and Community. We want our minister to use the talents of our congregation and together we will make it a full-time ministry.
• Is skilled and excited about working with children and young people, helping us build on our strong relationship with the schools and the missional opportunities it brings.
• Shares our passion for engagement with our local community.

About the Diocese

Lichfield Diocese is one of the most diverse dioceses in the country. Rolling countryside and vibrant inner-city life nestle together in a region that takes in Staffordshire, the Potteries of Stoke-on-Trent, most of Shropshire and bustling Black Country centres including Walsall and Wolverhampton. The only thing we don’t have is the sea!

Our shared diocesan vision extends an invitation to all to “Come follow Christ in the footsteps of St Chad”.

As we follow Christ in the footsteps of St Chad, we pray that the two million people in our diocese encounter a church that is confident in the gospel, knows and loves its communities, and is excited to find God at work already in the world. We pray for a church that reflects the richness and variety of those communities and partners with others in seeking the common good, working for justice as a people of hope.
