Part time - 20 hours per week

Salary range: £11,930 - £14,123 (FTE: £20,879 - £24,716)

The Diocesan Board of Education is looking for an Administrative Assistant to join its small but busy team. The post holder will provide administrative and secretarial support to the team and the Board.

The successful applicant should be an excellent administrator with previous experience in an admin or secretarial role with strong attention to detail. They will be an effective communicator and able to work collaboratively as a team while also able to work alone to meet deadlines. An understanding of Diocesan structures and Church schools would be beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Make arrangements and prepare documentation for all meetings, including attending and minuting meetings as well as co-ordinating other events such as training and conferences

  • Update and maintain all DBE records, including records of appointment of governors and DBS checks for DBE members and associates

  • Raise and monitor outgoing invoices

  • Provide all other general administrative support to the team, including responding to telephone and email correspondence
