St Edmund’s Community Hub now seeks to appoint a Community Hub Manager to take the provision of community support forward through it's next phase.

The Community Hub Manager will oversee the delivery of a range of services and events that support improvement in the health and well-being of those most in need and affected by the pandemic in the Roundhay ward.

  • The contract of employment is initially for 1-year, future contract dependent on securing additional funding for project.
  • Part-time – 18.5 hours per week (0.5 FTE) - days and times flexible dependent on hub activities, some fixed meeting times.
  • £21,500 - £25,000 pro rata, dependent on experience, plus access to a pension scheme
  • Annual leave entitlement of 28 days pro rata, which includes bank holidays.
  • Office based at St Edmund’s Church Hall, Lidgett Park Road, Leeds, LS8 1JN
  • This post requires an enhanced DBS disclosure.
  • There is no expectation that the post-holder should be a Christian, however they must be supportive of the project’s underlying Christian ethos.

At the onset the pandemic St Edmund’s church was asked by Leeds City Council to become the Community Care Hub for the Roundhay ward. In the first phases of the pandemic, our community support covered a range of activities from food provision for the clinically vulnerable, to individual befriending calls to community engagement activities. The next phase of pandemic support is focussed on increasing the resilience and reducing the reliance [on COVID-19 support] of those who have been most adversely affected by the pandemic.
