We are looking for an ordained or lay colleague who can help us reimagine and revitalise local ministry within the Diocese. Our deaneries are tasked with leading mission and ministry in the local church and our Deanery Leadership Teams are working to develop Deanery Pastoral Plans (DPPs) and Mission Action Plans (MAPs). The person appointed will be a key in helping us meet our shared priority of:

Reimagining, developing, and sharing ministry for mission in the 21st century

We are looking to fill a new role.

We are looking for a skilled individual to enhance the Diocese of Hereford’s focus on, and capacity for, local ministry at every level by:

• Leading on local ministry development

In collaboration with senior staff, department colleagues and other key stakeholders, to develop a diocesan strategy for licensed and other lay ministry pathways that enables the whole church to share in the mission of God across the Diocese of Hereford.

The post is open to a suitably qualified lay or ordained colleague.

It is possible to explore a stipend and a House for Duty role alongside this post if a suitably qualified clergy person were to be appointed and would prefer this instead of a salary.

We are committed to equal opportunities and diversity in Hereford Diocese and welcome applications from all suitably qualified lay people and clergy. As United Kingdom Minority Ethnic (UKME) individuals are currently under-represented within our Diocese – we would particularly welcome applications from these candidates.
