Liverpool Cathedral is one of the largest cathedral church’s in the world. An active place of worship, the cathedral is also a major tourism attraction and an important place in the visitor economy of Liverpool City Region.

Liverpool Cathedral was famously designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott and is an architectural masterpiece. Built by the people, for the people over the large part of the 20th century it stands as an iconic landmark on the Liverpool landscape.

Today the cathedral sees itself as a place of encounter. We host a variety of events, concerts and recitals, and major art exhibitions such as the Peace Doves. We welcome thousands of visitors to view our building, browse our shop and dine in our restaurant. We also have a strong social action charity (Micah Liverpool) linked to the cathedral. We are a venue that is open every day and requires a great deal of promotion.
