The Bishop of London wishes to appoint a Chaplain.

The post is a distinctive opportunity for an imaginative and creative priest with a mature outlook and a deep faith to support the Bishop in her episcopal ministry.

The Bishop is seeking someone who:

  • Is a good team player
  • Has a lively intellect and is theologically well qualified
  • Possesses excellent pastoral skills
  • Demonstrates proven administrative and drafting skills
  • Has sound judgement
  • Is able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people
  • Has the ability to work productively with people from different cultural backgrounds
  • Is spiritually motivated and able to see opportunities for service and the proclamation of the Gospel even in the most routine matters

The Chaplain’s main place of work will be The Old Deanery, Deans Court, London, EC4V 5AA.

The remuneration for this post is equivalent to incumbent status in the Diocese of London with 10% uplift. Accommodation will be discussed at the interview.
