Adlington is a large village near the market town of Chorley and in the foothills of the West Pennine Moors. The Church plays a key role in a settled community and seeks a priest who will have a strong ministry of presence and who will build on an outstanding relationship with the Church school. Worship is confidently Eucharistic with a good tradition of preaching and the Parish places a high value on ministry to all ages. They seek a priest who will continue the growth in faith and number that has been seen in recent years.
St Paul’s is a Parish of the Society of St Wilfrid and St Hilda and the PCC has passed resolutions under the House of Bishop’s Declaration. Pastoral and sacramental care is therefore delegated to the Bishop of Burnley.
