The Bishop of Southwark and the Vicar of All Saints Kingston, as Patron, are seeking to appoint an outward-looking priest with the vision to lead the congregation and grow its faith and life, and its service and witness in the Parish of St Peter’s Norbiton.

Please note we have a policy in Southwark Diocese that to be appointed to an incumbent status post, a priest must have served a stipendiary title in an Anglican church in the British Isles.

St Peter’s embraces diversity and inclusion, working in partnership with others to bring hope, kindness and hospitality to all, especially the most vulnerable in our community.

There is significant expansion expected in the community with a housing regeneration project that includes a church secondary school within the parish. This offers many real opportunities for growth and for outreach

We see three key areas fthat our priest will be involved in:

1) To support the vulnerable people in the area.

2) To increase the worshipping community at St Peters, especially by drawing in families in the parish by:

3) To be a visible presence and support during the regeneration of the Cambridge Estate

We would love a priest who:

• Has the faith and spiritual life to lead the church out of the difficulties of the pandemic and forward into a new chapter
• Has the experience and heart to teach and pastor the congregation; prayerfully enabling growth in faith and discipleship
• Has a passion for mission shaped by a practical concern for vulnerable people, including those who are homeless
• Is able to engage effectively across different age groups and cultures
• Has the leadership skills to develop the current groups and grow strong links with the emerging communities
• Embraces hospitality and welcomes the stranger and will enable St Peter’s to further fulfil its vision to Love our neighbour, love God and run for Jesus.
