Calverley is a thriving commuter village on the outskirts of Leeds, a single church benefice with an active congregation of all ages. We need a vicar who will help us to emerge from 2020 and reconnect with people, to continue to grow the church in numbers and in depth of discipleship, in person and online. The church has a strong tradition of open evangelical preaching, contemporary and traditional worship, outgoing witness in the community, and effective lay ministry and leadership.

The church has the potential to be a resource to support other local churches in their mission.

• Has a living faith in Jesus Christ
• People person who can lead a team and encourage and manage many others (clergy and lay)
• Excellent and appropriate communicator
• Can develop personal relationships with all
• Happy to visit any and all parishoners
• Experience of leading a strong, well-resourced and growing church
• A strategic but collaborative worker
• Commitment to encourage all forms of lay ministry
• Can nurture traditional and contemporary congregations whilst maintaining unity
• Can develop pastoral systems and effective discipling and renewal for adults
• Experience of working with children, schools and young families
• Experience of developing teenager and young adult ministry.
