Luton
Clergy

St Hugh’s is a charismatic, ethnically diverse, evangelical church in an outer urban area of Luton. We have an average Sunday attendance of 207 with a Worshipping Community of 280. We are a one church parish, with an electoral roll of 203.

We are passionate about mission that results in active disciples. For many years we have received prophetic words about the importance of knowing God as our Father and making Him known to the people in our area.  We want everyone to know Jesus’s transforming love in their lives and His purposes for them.

We have many stories to tell of the Holy Spirit’s goodness and healing, and are excited about the future of our community.

To apply you can complete the pathways process, or as we would prefer, please contact
Mrs Tricia Reed, PA to the Archdeacon of Bedford. She will send you an application pack that includes further information and the necessary forms.

  • A four bedroomed detached vicarage with spacious gardens.

We are a relatively new community. The positive aspect of this is that we have no ancient heritage to hold us back. Few families have been here for more than 3 generations, with many of us having lived here only two generations, or being newly arrived. This means there are blank pages yet to be filled, and the community is still forming.

It’s a time to build, influence, bless and encourage good things to grow. Many people choose to come here because of the excellent transport links, and affordable housing.
Often their hopes and dreams are to find a new and better life, a home or a career
outside of London.

Many of them have moved away from family or culture to start again. There are many different nationalities who have started to settle here. It is a richly diverse population. The
perception amongst the community is that Lewsey is a place where people from different backgrounds get on well together.

We at St Hugh's, love this diversity and look forward to welcoming everyone into God's family.

We are already praying for our new vicar.
If you believe it might be you then please do apply!
We look forward to hearing from you.
