Vicar of Goudhurst and Kilndown

Two flourishing churches with a ministry to all ages, especially children and young people.  We have grown a great deal in recent years, with total weekly attendance now averaging 200, and are looking for the right person to lead us through the next stage of growth.

As well as children’s and youth groups, current ministries include family mental health support and community care, theology and Alpha, parents and toddlers, home groups and prayer groups, band and choir.  A Benefice that reaches beyond geographical boundaries and wishes to continue growing in faith and service, and in numbers.

We feel that there is much further to go in our journey as disciples of Jesus.  We need to seek the Holy Spirit’s direction, remove our blind spots, and enable everyone in our communities to find their way into faith and hope and love.

Are you able to engage with people of every generation and level of faith, genuinely enjoying both traditional and contemporary worship?

Do you have the ability to enable and inspire people, see new opportunities, recognise when to lead our established teams, and when to step back?

Are you the person God is calling to lead us in this beautiful part of Kent?

Closing date for applications: Monday 8th June 2020
