Team Vicar for St Swithin’s and St Philip’s in Dronfield with Holmesfield

Clergy

The Team includes five churches with a team rector, team vicar, curate and self-supporting associate minister. St Philip’s church is currently led by our curate under the Team Rector’s supervision. Initially the Team Vicar’s role at St Philip’s will be oversight and, in the future, will hopefully involve training curates. It is a permanent, full time post.

The vacancy is for:

  • An open evangelical minister, with energy, expertise and fresh ideas for mission to build on existing foundations and lead both churches through necessary change.
  • Someone who will engage the whole church in the process of discernment, through prayer, scripture, listening and debate. The church councils have agreed to support the process and back necessary change.
  • A flexible team player who will be comfortable with our varied styles of worship.

We can offer a united and close clergy team, active lay leadership and enthusiastic church members. St Swithin’s and St Philip’s church buildings are well loved, practical and in a good state of repair.

Dronfield and Holmesfield are situated between Chesterfield and Sheffield, on the edge of the beautiful Peak District. The vicarage is in Holmesfield village, next to St Swithin’s church.
