We are looking for a community minded team player to live and minister with supportive faithful rural communities as they work together to enrich and develop their missional challenges and aspirations more confidently.  Across the Schorne Team we have a strong sense that our churches are set in the heart of our communities and that they exist to minister to the whole community.  Are you ale to help us with the next stage of our journey?

Applications are invited for the post of Stipendiary Team Vicar within the Schorne Team of parishes having particular responsibility for the united parish of Waddesdon, Upper Winchendon and Westcott.  The parish is set five miles to the north of Aylesbury on the A41 and Waddesdon is home to one of the National Trust’s most visited properties, Waddesdon Manor.

Our new Team Vicar will:

  • Support and promote activities which raise the profile of our churches in our communities.
  • Empower our congregations to implement constructive change and work collaboratively with ordained and lay colleagues to promote God’s mission in our communities.
  • Lead worship to a high standard and in a variety of styles and preach engagingly.
  • Integrate thoroughly into the life of the villages.
  • Focus on enabling our churches to become financially sustainable to pay a more realistic level of Parish Share.

The right candidate will be:

  • A community minded team player
  • Liturgically proficient and able to enjoy the breadth of the Anglican tradition.
  • Pastorally and community minded.
  • Able to pick up the challenges and opportunities of working with our local schools.
  • Able to demonstrate success in growing generosity.
