The Office Services department is responsible for supporting all departments within the National Church Institutions (NCIs) of the Church of England with logistics, printing, hospitality and reception.

We are developing the way we deliver our services and full training will be given to the successful candidate who will help us to deliver an excellent standard of service.

This is an excellent opportunity to join the Office Services team at a time of growth and development.

You will focus on hospitality including serving refreshments in our meeting rooms, delivering telephone services to our colleagues and customers by answering and directing incoming calls and providing print services such as bulk copy or card production.

To be successful, you will need to enjoy working as part of a team, be comfortable with using IT and be looking for the chance to develop your skills. You will also need a professional and highly motivated approach and the desire to deliver an excellent standard of service.

Once confident, you will have the chance to choose an area of work that particularly interests you and undertake more in depth learning in that area.

You will be required to wear a uniform when carrying out the duties of this role which will be provided.

    The Role

    Hospitality services

    • Preparing coffee, tea and other refreshments (this may include alcoholic beverages)
    • Serving refreshments including cold and hot foods.
    • Preparing meeting rooms
    • Assisting with Audio Visual equipment
    • Clearing and tidying meeting rooms between meetings
    • Managing and handling spillages
    • Assisting with meet and greet
    • Taking room bookings and comestible ordering from our preferred supplier to support those meetings when required.


    • Covering the reception telephone and reception
    • Answering incoming calls screening them for best direction.

    Print room services

    • Assisting in preparing documents
    • Running bulk photo copy runs and print runs
    • Packing and distributing printing
    • Collecting, installing and distributing toner cartridges

    The Requirements



    • The ability to represent the service in a professional manner
    • Good oral and written communication skills
    • The ability to serve refreshments (including alcoholic beverages)
    • Good communications skills
    • Capable of manual handling
    • The ability to work under a level of pressure
    • Customer care skills


    • Experience of providing general support services, within at least one of the functional areas
    • Awareness of Health and Safety in the workplace

    • The post holder must wear a uniform during working hours, that will be provided by the employer
