Mentoring is not new to the Church of England. Every priest or deaconcan name at least one person who accompanied them on their journey towards ordination.
The Ordained Vocations Mentor Directory is for those at any stage on the journey towards ordained vocations, who might feel that they would like to have a knowledgeable friend, with some shared experiences, to accompany them along the way. The scheme is aimed at the historically underrepresented within the Church of England.
All the Mentors are volunteers who are passionate about supporting our future clergy. As a Mentor, you will not be making decisions on your mentee's process or be their advocate.
Our Mentors have access to a closed online Chatroom, a learning portal, networking events and the opportunity of discounted professional development.
The ideal candidate will also have some understanding of vocations within the Church of England.
The next training days are: 1st October, London
21st November/early January 2020, Leicester
