The Lincoln Diocese are seeking a prayerful and dedicated individual to lead our Spiritual Directors Network across the county. This is a highly specialised role and one that we place great emphasis on. The right person will be responsible for the development of spirituality training events, overseeing the spiritual direction network, and developing spiritual resources.
This is a half-time post and housing may be provided.

The Warden of Spirituality is a key role in the Lincoln Diocese. Working collaboratively with all elements of the life of diocese, the Warden advises on prayer and discipleship, leads the spiritual direction network and programme of weeks of guided prayer and promotes a programme of spirituality training events and experiences at both local and diocesan level.
A major role is the co-ordination and management of the spiritual direction network (currently 58 directors and growing) which includes the leading of the training course for spiritual directors, promoting the use of spiritual direction and recruiting new directors, managing referrals for spiritual direction and the supervision provision for spiritual directors.
The Warden is responsible for implementing the diocesan spiritual direction policy and the spiritual direction safeguarding guidelines. The person appointed will need to demonstrate awareness of and knowledge of spiritual traditions in the Church, be an experienced spiritual director, demonstrate good leadership and group work skills as well as having excellent administrative and organisational skills.
