HOUSE FOR DUTY ASSOCIATE PRIEST

IN THE UNITED BENEFICE OF MAKER WITH RAME, MILLBROOK, ST JOHN IN CORNWALL AND TORPOINT

This new United Benefice consists of four parishes located in a picturesque part of the south-eastern corner of Cornwall, within close proximity to Devon.

We are seeking to appoint a confident priest who is a natural team-player and encourager, keen to preach the gospel and enthuse those around them with the churches’ vision.  The Incumbent, the Revd Michael Brown, has been serving in the area for seven years and looks forward to working with a colleague in this newly enlarged benefice.

The communities you will serve range from deeply rural, through to large village, and a town with significant naval connections.  They have a strong sense of identity and are very close knit, this community spirit makes the United Benefice a unique and enticing place in which to work, worship and serve.

The area is steeped in history and heritage and the local churches work well together in ecumenical activity serving the benefice.

To be successful in this role you will need to be:

  • A strong team worker
  • A proactive leader
  • Inclusive and respectful
  • Able to listen, sensitive
