The congregations at Speke St Aidan with All Saints are looking for a talented priest to take them on an adventure. As Rector you will see plenty of potential to develop a new vision for two worshipping centres coming together as one.
St Aidan with All Saints is in South Liverpool city close to Liverpool airport. The area is dominated by a mix of housing estates alongside retail and business parks. The two worshipping centres in the united parish offer a great contrast – the heritage listed All Saints and “The Place to Be” which is based in a shop unit. You will also find a lovely four bedroom end terraced house as a vicarage within the parish.
You will be a collaborative priest seeking to empower and equip lay ministry. You will be looking to develop working relationships and establish a school’s ministry. On this adventure you will see the challenges of financial sustainability and mission with a church community full of hope for the future. Are you the one to take them on this adventure?
Closing Date - 2nd June 2019

With a traditional and modern church in the parish, St Aidan with All Saints has the potential to offer a great variety but comes with the challenge of bringing people to work together. The church community has pulled together during the vacancy but is conscious of the challenges, financial and other, that they face.
All Saints was built in the late 19th century and offers a mix of worship with a good number of weddings, funerals and baptisms. St Aidan's offers different styles of worship in the context of one service as well as a number of outreach activities through the week.
The Speke area has large number of houses and a relatively young, mixed community. The area offers opportunities to reach new communities as new homes are built. Living in the area brings you close to the beauty of Speke Hall and a major retail park. The attractions of Liverpool are close at hand and Speke offers an ideal base to access the wider delights of the North West and North Wales.

For many years we have been working to achieve growth in our diocese. We have used different ways to express this but the aim and direction of travel has remained the same – consistent with the whole of the Church of England. This is how we express our mission.
We think we will achieve this mission if we have:
100 new congregations
1,000 new leaders
to help us do this we are calling every worshipping Christian in our diocese to
