Holy Trinity Deanshanger is a lively, informal and family-centred congregation with its focus on a Biblical, charismatic, evangelical mandate to love and serve the community at large. It sits at the heart of a rapidly growing village on the rural northern edge of Milton Keynes.
A short distance away, the historic church of St Guthlac’s, Passenham offers a more traditional service to a small but dedicated congregation.
A new rector will enjoy the benefits of serving two churches in close proximity, both with loyal congregations, committed to growing in number and in spiritual depth and Christian maturity. We seek an outward-looking incumbent who through fresh vision, good teaching and discipleship will motivate us all to be salt and light in our communities and beyond.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a new spiritual leader who is called by God to lead our Parish on its journey further towards spiritual maturity. A strong and inspirational leader with a servant heart for people and the whole community.
A leader who will embrace our Churches' vision and encourage new ideas and expressions of how together we can continue to grow as followers of Jesus and be a blessing to our communities and bring others to Christ.
We are seeking:
A spirit filled facilitator and committed to nurturing the spiritual gifts of all.
Personally inspired by the love of Jesus Christ and growing in faith through their personal devotions.
Seeks to live out scripture faithfully and prayerfully is open and responsive to the Holy Spirit with a passion for bringing Christ to others.
Inspirational teacher/preacher who is able to communicate the Bible faithfully in a relevant and contemporary style.
Evangelical in theology and committed to every member ministry and leadership, including the use of gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Passionate leader who can inspire, enable grow and mentor new leaders.
Open to prophetic vision and a commitment to prayerfully follow God's guidance.
Ability to implement successful vision/intentional strategy in a church context.
A leader with empathy for the Church family who can support through pastoral care and oversight;minister to a diverse range of people, faiths and traditions and ages; and who has a heart for young people and children.
Ability to maintain values of openness, honesty and integrity throughout all levels of ministry in the churches. An awareness of personal strengths and weaknesses and a commitment to team ministry.
Mission minded and evangelism focused - someone with a heart for the lost , passionate about seeing them saved and discipled.
